Gina Veale
During school days in Hong Kong Gina developed active interests in Dance and the Theatre. She won the lead role in a series of children’s TV dramas and danced professionally in full scale stage productions with The Hong Kong Ballet Company.
At Elmhurst Ballet School Gina obtained her three year Musical Theatre diploma plus professional dance teaching qualifications with distinction (A.I.S.T.D.). She was awarded her LAMDA ‘Gold’ with honours – for acting.
A variety of successful dance and stage contracts followed, including:
London: Dance World – Olympia; La Scala; Spirit of the Dance – Lyric Theatre; Cinderella – Lewisham Theatre.
Lead Dancer with Princess Cruises; Music and TV videos; numerous dance engagements and musical theatre tours in the UK plus Los Angeles and Miami.
From 2001 to 2013 Gina was head of dance at St. Catherine’s British Embassy School (rated ‘outstanding’) in Athens. With some 1300 pupils from Nursery to age 18 she taught Dance up to GCSE level and championed the School’s extracurricular performing arts activities – regularly choreographing, producing and directing fully staged and costumed large scale public productions by students. Gina also continued her own professional stage activities – including performances at the prestigious Athens Megaron and leading roles within the Athens fringe theatre.
Since returning to the UK late in 2013, Gina joined Music and Movement in January 2014.
