About the Award
The PAAP Approved Provider Award is a prestigious recognition for organisations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to delivering high-quality physical activity programmes using the Physical Activity Adventure Pack (PAAP) and embedding early childhood principles into their overall practice.
This award ensures that providers meet a high standard in fostering active, engaging, and developmentally appropriate movement opportunities for children aged 3-6 years.
Award Criteria
To qualify as a PAAP Approved Provider, organisations must:
✅ Implement PAAP Effectively – Integrate PAAP lesson plans into daily activities, promoting movement play and fundamental movement skills.
✅ Provide Inclusive Physical Activity – Ensure all children, regardless of ability, can participate in and enjoy movement-based learning.
✅ Demonstrate Staff Training – Show that educators and caregivers are trained in using PAAP resources effectively.
✅ Embed Early Childhood Pedagogy– Understand and apply pedagogical principles of Early Childhood Education and Care.
✅ Engage Families – Promote physical activity beyond the classroom by sharing resources and activities with families.
✅ Monitor and Evaluate Impact – Use observations and feedback to improve physical activity engagement and children’s development.
Level of Recognition
– Embed PAAP fully into the curriculum, train staff annually, promote an Early Childhood pedagogy with practice and provision, and support families to become more active.

PAAPAPA Observation and Assessment – £850 (required) + travel and expenses
