Emily Mason

I have recently become a Master of Arts, graduating with a distinction in Performance and Choreography (Masters Degree). I have also graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2018, receiving a First Class BA Honours Degree in dance. This past year alongside studying my Masters Degree, I have been an artist in ‘The Ensemble’, touring internationally and nationally. This year, I travelled to Washington DC, USA and Berlin, Germany, touring dance work and teaching workshops, alongside visiting universities in the UK. In 2018, I was also a member of Lincoln Dance Collective, a performance company, touring contemporary dance work in theatres, performance spaces and universities/schools. I have worked with professional choreographers such as Adrienne Clancy, Amy Lovelock, and Tamara Ashley.

My professional training is in contemporary dance/release technique as well as interdisciplinary dance; however, I have been training in many styles of dance since the age of two years old. For example, tap, contemporary ballet, jazz, musical theatre and commercial. I am professionally trained to lead workshops and have many experiences in teaching dance. I have worked for Jordan Productions, as a dancer in Christmas pantomimes and I also have understanding in A-level and GCSE Dance too. I have experience and knowledge working with all ages, wishing to educate and find enjoyment through my classes.

Emily will be providing workshops and school activities for Music+Movement.
